Terms of Use

Sereal is early beta software provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind. Features may change, and your data may be reset or lost. Do not rely on Sereal as your only record of valuable information; keep your own backups.

Use Sereal only for lawful purposes and only for your own collection. Do not abuse, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service or attempt to access other users' data.

Some card release, parallel, and print-run information in Sereal is licensed from a third-party card data provider. It is provided to you solely for managing your own collection within Sereal, and not for any other commercial purpose.

• You may not extract, copy, export, scrape, or otherwise collect that information in order to create, populate, or maintain any database, catalog, or dataset of trading card or collectibles information.
• You may not redistribute, publish, sell, sublicense, or otherwise make that information available to any other person or service.
• You may not use that information to develop, market, or sell any product or service that competes with Sereal or with its card data provider.
• You may not use Sereal in a way that avoids incurring fees, or that exceeds, circumvents, or defeats any usage limit or quota, whether in Sereal or in its card data provider's service.
• You may not knowingly help anyone else do anything this section prohibits.

Some of what you type — card names, products, sports — is sent to our card data provider to find matches. Do not submit text that is unlawful, infringing, or offensive, and do not attempt to transmit malicious code or other harmful content through Sereal.

This does not restrict your own collection records. You may keep and export your notes, photos, and prices, and the release and parallel names recorded against cards you own, for managing your own collection. You may not use those records as a source for building or maintaining a database, catalog, dataset, product, or service of card information.

The "Acceptable use" section above also applies. Do not remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or attribution notice shown with licensed card data.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You keep ownership of the content you enter and the photos you upload. You grant Sereal a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the service for you. Sereal's own software, design, and branding remain ours.

You may stop using Sereal and request deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or to protect the service. On termination, your data is removed.

Prices, comps, "recommended" list prices, and other valuations in Sereal are automated estimates generated from third-party sold-listing data. They can be inaccurate or based on a mismatched comparable, and are provided for informational purposes only — not financial, investment, tax, or appraisal advice. You are solely responsible for verifying any figure before buying, selling, listing, or making other decisions, and Sereal is not liable for losses arising from reliance on these estimates.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sereal is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of beta software.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
